Les patients avec indice de performance supérieur à 1 - 14/11/17

De nombreux algorithmes décisionnels basés sur des essais randomisés sont à la base des traitements proposés pour les patients avec un cancer bronchique. Néanmoins, dans la plupart de ces essais, le nombre de patients avec un indice de performance altéré est limité voire absents. Le but de cet article est de présenter les échelles de mesure de l’indice de performance ainsi que leur reproductibilité, le rôle pronostique de cet indice de performance ainsi que de revoir la littérature existante portant sur la prise en charge thérapeutique des patients avec un cancer bronchique et une altération de l’indice de performance.

Many decision algorithms based on randomized trials are the basis of treatments proposed for patients with bronchial cancer. Nevertheless, in most of these trials, the number of patients with an altered performance status is limited or absent. The aim of this article is to present the performance status scales and their reproducibility, the prognostic role of this performance status and to review the existing literature on the therapeutic management of patients with lung cancer and an altered performance status.
